FirstShop's first five technology Life Hacks

Life hacking refers to any trick, shortcut, skill, or novelty method that increases productivity and efficiency, in all walks of life.
We have decided to share our own take on that since, well technology is what we spend most of our time on. We will be calling them "Tech hacks"

Sometimes the smallest irritations can be resolved with something as simple as the post-it you were on your way to throw away in the dustbin.

Recently I arrived at work and as I turned my laptop on the entire office was drawn to the loud noise coming from my desk. Something was stuck on my (right arrow) button and my computer was not happy. It beeped loud and continuously until I removed the battery, I ended up losing an hour or two of my morning trying to figure out what the problem was. So how do we catch those annoying crumbs or bits that fall into our keyboards?

"How To" number one:

1. The Used Post it:

Before you throw away that post it- Run the sticky side through your keyboard to clean it!

2. Earphones into microphone - *tap tap*

Do you think you have reached the next level? Is your singing now ready for more then the shower but not quite ready for the expensive equipment that comes with it?

Well here is the "hack" solution:

3. DIY sound system on a budget :

Now, how was that? did you record yourself? don't forget your makeshift sound system:

Use a plastic or paper cup until you are ready to call us at FirstShop for really great sound system deals ;)

4. Old Pen = New Charger:

Are your chargers always bent and broken?

Here is the most simple solution - I have personally tested and tried this and vouch for it 100 percent.

Take a pen string from an old pen and wrap it around your charger cord to stop it from bending and breaking!

5. Airplane mode = Emergency charge:

Do you have limited time but need to get your phone to charge fast before you leave? Turn it on Airplane mode and watch how much faster it charges!
